How should I prepare for a massage?
Stay hydrated, avoid heavy meals right before your appointment, and when possible shower before your massage. Since high quality therapeutic creams, oils, and herbal treatments are often used to during your service and are best left on clean skin for maximum absorbtion for a few hours. Arrive a few minutes early to discuss your goals and health concerns with your therapist.
Do I need to get undressed for a massage?
Only to your level of comfort or as needed by the type of therapy. You’ll be properly draped at all times, your modesty will be protected, and only the area being worked on will be exposed.
Does massage hurt?
Massage should never be unbearably painful. Some techniques may cause slight discomfort, but using breath work to focus in on the release and communication with your therapist about pressure will ensure the best results.
Can massage help with chronic pain or medical conditions?
Yes, massage can alleviate symptoms of conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, migraines, etc. Always inform your therapist of medical concerns for tailored treatment.
What should I expect after a massage?
